Lee Felix, born as Lee Yongbok (Korean이필릭스) on September 15, 2000, is a Korean rapper and dancer who is currently a member of the Korean boy band Stray Kids. Felix began his career at JYP Entertainment in December, 2016 where he trained with his group for 9-10 months before the Stray Kids survivor show was televised, cementing their position as an idol group. He is also a member of the sub-group of Stray Kids, Danceracha and is most well-known for his trademark deep voice. His group rose to fame after the airing of the show and has since grown a loyal fan base known as STAY. [1]

Early Life edit

Felix was born as Lee Yongbok (Korean이필릭스) in Sydney, Australia on September 15, 2000. His mother and father immigrated to Australia from Korea and had two daughters and a son, Felix. His father is a businessman in Sydney and his mother does not work. He has two sisters, one older and one younger, named Rachel and Olivia Lee. He played the piano from a young age, loved to sing and dance, and was also a champion swimmer and taekwondo practitioner. He attended secondary school at St. Patrick's Marist College in Sydney and began his training at JYP at age 16 in which he was shortly assigned to the group Stray Kids. [1] [2]

Musical Career edit

December, 2016 - February, 2017:Felix Begins As a Trainee edit

Lee Felix began as a trainee for JYP Entertainment in December, 2016 and was, after one year of training, selected by the leader of Stray Kids, Bang Chan, to join the group in February, 2017 becoming the 6th official member of the band. [1]

March 2017 - December 2017:Survivor Show Airs, First Song Released edit

Felix trained with his group until the survivor show, also named Stray Kids was televised. In this show, Felix was eliminated from the group in the eighth episode by Park Jin-young, the founder of JYP Entertainment but after careful consideration was brought back one episode later. Stray Kids' first song "Hellevator" was also released during this period marking a monumental milestone for the group. [1] [3] During this period, Felix's hair color was light brown with tinges of red and blonde. [4]

January, 2018 - December 2018:First Albums Released, Stray Kids Recieve Awards edit

After the release of his group's first song they quickly began to come out with more content including four new mini albums called: Mixtape, I Am NOT, I Am WHO, and I Am YOU which included popular songs like District 9 and My Pace. [3] These albums won them many awards including the Best New Male Artist award from the MAMA Awards and the Rookie of the Year award from the Asia Artist Awards. [5] Also, in August, 2018, Felix joined the sub-group of Stray Kids, Danceracha. Comprised of the members Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix, the sub-unit focuses on dancing. During this period, Felix's hair color was light gray and orange. [4]

Modeling Career edit

2020:Felix Begins Modeling With Band Member Hyunjin edit

Felix began to model for multiple designer brands along with fellow member Hyunjin in 2020. These two modeled together for brands like Missha and Dior [6]

2021-2022:Felix Continues Modeling edit

Felix continued to model with and without fellow members appears on the covers of magazines for different luxury brands. At the end of 2022, Hyunjin and Felix were found together on the cover of the November/December issue of the famed Cosmopolitan magazine. [7]

2023:Felix Becomes House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton edit

Later, in August of 2023, Felix became a house ambassador for Louis Vuitton, joining a group including remarkable names like Zendaya and Taeyeon. [8]
