‘’Leander Gaston Claes Vyvey’’ (born December 21, 1989, in Ghent, Belgium) is a European actor and former professional kitesurfer.

Early life and kitesurfing career

Vyvey began practicing kitesurfing in Nieuwpoort, Belgium, becoming a four-time Belgian champion and runner-up in the Kiteboard Pro World Tour in 2008 and 2009. He won the World Championship in Lake Como, Italy, in 2008. [1] Vyvey’s career included several accidents, notably in Big Bay, South Africa, in 2007, and Maui, Hawaii, in 2009, which led to his retirement from professional kitesurfing.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

Acting career

Following his kitesurfing career, Vyvey transitioned to acting. He studied in Madrid, at the Drama Studio in London, and at The Second City in Chicago. He made his acting debut in the 2016 film “Rescue Under Fire” and has since appeared in several films and television series.[12][13][14]

Vyvey is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Dutch, French, Spanish, and German. He is passionate about ocean conservation. Despite his public career, he remains largely inactive in media endeavors, and little is known about his personal life.[15]
