Rahleek Hargrove, better known by his stage name Leakz 2.0 is a; Musician, Songwriter, and Social-Media Personality of African-American descent. He was born on September 17th, 1993 in Poughkeepsie, New York.[1][2][3]

Early Life: edit

Leakz 2.0's journey in the world of music began in the vibrant City of Poughkeepsie. There is where he was raised and educated in the City of Poughkeepsie School District located in New York's, Dutchess County.

Leakz 2.0 developed a passion for music at an early age. Before joining the music industry, Hargrove was an Athlete[4][5][6] and a Trumpeter with the band at his school. Influenced by the rich cultural tapestry of his surroundings, Leakz 2.0 found the inspiration to become a musician by watching his father who was also a Hip-Hop Artist in the late 90s & early 2000s with the rap group, Da Nabahood Threat[7][8]. [9][10]

In 2011, Leakz 2.0 graduated from Poughkeepsie High School with an Advanced Regents Diploma. He later went on to further his education at an HBCU named Livingstone College, located in the heart of Salisbury, North Carolina. It was there, where he learned more about the Culture of Hip-Hop, and decided to start taking music seriously.

Legal Troubles edit

Embarking on a tumultuous journey, Rahleek Hargrove found himself ensnared by the clutches of the legal system, leading to a pivotal chapter in his life marked by a prison sentence. "On August 28, 2015, Hargrove was sentenced to 5 years in a New York State prison." [11] Spending most of his sentence in Gouverneur and Wallkill Correctional Facilities.

This period of confinement, which could have spelled the end, instead became the crucible for a profound metamorphosis. Behind prison walls, he delved into introspection and self-improvement, using adversity as a catalyst for personal growth. Locked away, Leakz 2.0 found solace in the captivating melodies of artists like Drake, Fabolous, and Tory Lanez drawing inspiration from their music to navigate through the shadows of those bleak days. He was released on July 31, 2019.

Upon his release, he emerged from the crucible with a revitalized sense of purpose. Rather than succumbing to the shadows of his past, he orchestrated a remarkable turnaround, infusing his lyrics with the echoes of resilience. Now, with an unwavering spirit and a fresh perspective, 2.0 crafts music that not only chronicles his journey but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for others navigating their own tribulations. His biography stands as a testament to the redemptive power of resilience, showcasing the transformative ability to forge a new narrative even amidst the darkest of days.
