Lamido Abubakar Yuguda is a Nigerian Economist, Accountant, Investment Manager, and the former Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Nigeria. He held the position from June 10th, 2020 till 2024.[1]
With over thirty years of experience in the banking and finance sector, Lamido can be said to be a notable figure in the economic industry. He has held several positions in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) where he worked from the year 1984 till 2016 when he voluntarily retired as the Director of Reserve Management. [2]
He was appointed by Muhammadu Buhari on the 10th of June, 2020 to be the new Director General of SEC Nigeria, succeeding
