- Comment: Can you find add the WP:THREE best sources to the talk page? BuySomeApples (talk) 01:48, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Please see WP:REFBOMB, WP:PRIMARY and WP:SPS. The references so far are press releases, interviews with Richardson, a few obvious paid puff pieces, and a large number of WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS of him in articles about plays. What's needed is solid, WP:SECONDARY, WP:Independent coverage of him in WP:Reliable sources, and reviewing editors are looking for quality of references, not quantity. Please also review Wikipedia policy on WP:Sockpuppetry: the draft creator is a WP:Single purpose account, but a new throwaway account has just tried to move it to main space, following gaming of their autoconfirm, with the bizarre edit summary "Moved by wikishovel", though I'd made no previous edits to this draft and no previous interaction with either of the two accounts editing it. It wouldn't survive WP:AFD in its present state, so please do yourself a favour and improve the article here for review instead. There's no hurry. Wikishovel (talk) 05:52, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Being one of 40 co-producers of a Tony nominated play is not sufficient to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria, in my opinion Sionk (talk) 18:37, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
Lamar Richardson is a Tony Awards-nominated producer.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] and award-winning actor. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina as the son of West Indian immigrant parents from Antigua and Barbuda[10][11]. He graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in 2011 and received his Bachelor's Degree from Columbia University in 2015.
Richardson made his regional theater stage debut as Sylvester in Phylicia Rashad's 2016 production of August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom[12], which received accolades from the L.A. Drama Critics Circle and L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Awards. His recent Broadway Co-Producer credits include the 2022 revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman[13] starring Wendell Pierce, Sharon D. Clarke, and André de Shields, the 2023 Tony Award for Best Musical Nominee New York, New York (musical)[14], the 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along (musical) starring Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, and Lindsay Mendez, and the Broadway bound 2024 revival of The Wiz starring Wayne Brady[15], Deborah Cox[16], and Avery Wilson[17]. Richardson is also a Co-Producer of the upcoming The Fabulous Four feature-length film starring Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Megan Mullally, and Sheryl Lee Ralph[18]
His recent onscreen credits include episodes of CBS' Blue Bloods and FBI (TV series) in addition to New Amsterdam (2018 TV series) on NBC. Additional credits include James Sweeney's Straight Up and Charlie Sanders (actor) and Jordan Peele-produced Weird City.
Richardson was selected as Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey's 2022 Front Row Productions Fellow[19] [20] [21] in conjunction with Columbia University. With the Fellowship's support, he produced a staged reading of Afrika Brown's THE FIGHT as a part of The Apollo Theater Salon Series [22]
Richardson is the CEO of Ivy Lion Productions, an independent production company that centers underrepresented voices and champions empowering stories.
