Dr. L.K. Ramachandran (1927-1988) was a noted Bio-Chemist and is known for his contributions to protein and peptone chemistry and is the son of the late Padmabushan L.A. Krishna Iyer a famous anthropologist from India. His grandfather L.K. Anantha Krishnan Iyer was a leading Anthropologist of his time. Dr. Ramachandran was fondly known as ELKAY or LK and retired as the Professor and Head Department of Biochemistry, Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana, India which he started on his return from the USA. His family includes Mrs. Sarada Ramachandran (Spouse), Radha Ramachandran ( daughter), Padma Ramachandran (daughter), Dr LRK Krishnan (Son), Chitra Ramachandran (daughter) and Janaki Ramachandran (daughter).
