Know Yourself is a public benefit corporation, based in Oakland, California.[1] The company was co-founded in 2012 by an educator and entrepreneur, Nancy Howes and her husband, Tim Howes who is a computer scientist, entrepreneur and author.[3][4][5][6] Nancy Howes also serves as the CEO of Know Yourself.[7]
The company aims to make self literacy a vital part of early education by offering products that teach children about the basics of human anatomy, physiology and psychology.[8] Major products include activity kits, books and comics, among others.
Know Yourself Foundation is the not-for-profit subsidiary of the company.
