Originally established in Winnipeg in 1953 as SJ Kernaghan Adjusters by Stanley J. Kernaghan, Kernaghan Adjusters has since developed into a national independent adjusting firm in Canada.[4][5]
In 1970, the company headquarters were established in Vancouver.[6] After joining the company in 1988, Patti Kernaghan became President & CEO in 1993.
