Keep Refrigerated was an avant-garde art club located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, during the year 1991. The club gained recognition as a significant cultural hub, as documented in a New York Magazine article.[1] It was shut down by the New York City Fire Department within its first year of operation.

Keep Refrigerated was founded in 1991 as an experimental art space, providing a platform for musicians, and other creatives in Williamsburg. The building that housed the club was a former meat packing facility, where several meat packing plants used to operate.
Description edit
The club included rotating installations of artworks, while rock, noise and indie music played. It also included multiple heaters, smashed television sets, and projections of cartoons.[1]

During its year of operation, the space showcased performances such as indie music and Japanese Butoh.
