editKatie Goodman and her husband, Soren Kisiel, established Broad Comedy in 2001[10], where they serve as creators, writers, and directors.[1][11] Goodman also founded the National Women’s Theatre Festival in Los Angeles in the 1990s and served as Artistic Director of the Philadelphia Women’s Theatre Festival.[12][13][14]She has contributed to O, The Oprah Magazine and authored "Improvisation For The Spirit: Living A More Creative, Spontaneous and Courageous Life Using The Tools of Improv Comedy".[1][15][16][17][18][10][5][19]
Awards and recognition
editKatie’s solo show received a Time Out New York Critic’s Pick for “Best Cabaret”[17], and has earned critical acclaim at venues such as Caroline’s on Broadway, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, and 54 Below. She performed at the renowned Gilded Balloon in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013.[1][20][21][17][5]
