David Gerald Asante Jumah[1] known as Jvmmie JAE[2] (pronounced "ju-me-jay") is a Ghanaian Afrobeats, Afro-fusion artist, songwriter and a record producer based in London, United Kingdom. He earned a nomination in the 2021 Ghana Music Awards UK (GMAUK21)[3][4] for the UK-based Afrobeats/Afropop song of the year.

Early life and education
editJvmmie JAE began making music in his school days.[2], actively participating in the school drama group from as far back as the fifth year in primary school at Hope Marie Academy at Sowutuom. In addition to acting he was known for singing along to artists such as BUKBAK, Samini, Obrafuor and many others during school occasions. His musical inclination led to his appointment as the Entertainment prefect in year nine[2]
He pursued Electronics at the Koforidua Senior High Technical school obtaining his WASSCE certificate. While awaiting his results after high school, he discovered Fruity Loops Studio, a Digital Audio Workstation and began creating music with it. Jvmmie JAE completed his tertiary education at Wisconsin International University College in 2013 earning a BA. in Computer Science and Management.
Career
editDuring his university years, Jvmmie JAE initiated collaborations with independent artists, later relocating to London in 2014. His professional journey began with award winning reggae dancehall gospel artist Minister Taf, producing several singles, EP(Extended Play) and Albums[5][6][7]. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, both collaborated and released a single "Still Affi Guh Hard"[8] which means "keep going", spreading positivity and love. Jvmmie JAE released his debut single "Too Bad"[9][10] in 2020 earning a nomination at the Ghana Music Awards UK for best Afrobeats / Afropop song of the year[4]. He has graced the stage alongside Ghanaian musicians such as Kwabena Kwabena and Stay Jay during their Europe tour in the UK.
He has also collaborated with producers and sound engineers from both the UK and Ghana including Victizzle (VixMix Studios, UK)[11] and Dr Ray beats(Ghana).
