Biography edit
Graduated from Vilnius S. Nėries secondary school (1971). Studied at the Vilnius Institute of Engineering Construction (1971 – 1976), obtained the qualification of engineer-economist in the field of economics and organization of automobile transport. Worked at Vilnius Autotransport company no. 2 as an engineer. In 1977 began his service in the LSSR militia, at first in the State Automobile Inspectorate, later in the Criminal Investigation Department, where he participated in the investigation of many serious crimes, including those committed by organized gangs. He was one of the first employees of the Organized Crime Investigation (Sixth) Division (1989). Actively participated in the drafting of the Lithuanian Police Law (1990), forming the structure of the restored Police and creating its attributes. Since May 1991 became Commissioner for the 1st Brigade of the Organized Crime Investigation Bureau[2], where he investigated many high-profile crimes, including the Medininkai massacre (July 31, 1991). After the restoration of Lithuania's membership in the international criminal police organization INTERPOL, became the deputy head of its National Bureau. Later he was appointed Senior Commissioner of the Department of the Investigation of Organized Crime and Criminal Processes, after 3 years became the Head of Vilnius Division of the Operational Service of the Border Police. In 2002, he became the Deputy Director General of the Lithuanian Customs Department, personally responsible for law enforcement. With his active participation, the Customs violation prevention system and the Criminal Service were strengthened, who achieving significant results in the fight against the shadow economy, including smuggling and other serious crimes. Since 2012, he has worked in Lithuanian law enforcement liaison office at the European Union's Criminal Intelligence Agency EUROPOL[3]. In this organization was one of the active supporters of establishing the European Financial and Economic Crime Analysis Center (EFECC). From 2018 works as the Chief specialist of the Special Training Department of the Customs Training Centre[4].

- Has founded and managed the Equestrian Sports Club "ALIURAS" (2000);
- Advisor to the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (from 2019);
- Member of the Board of the UAB "Lithuanian equestrian stud" (since 2022).

Sports – he was the Lithuanian MIA Shooting, Car all-around and Service all-around Champion, Equestrian Sports and Practical Shooting competitions winner and prize winner.
