June Grant is a licensed architect and Design Principal at blink!LAB.[1]

Early life and education edit

Grant was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Aged five, Grant knew she wanted to work in the field of architecture.[citation needed]

June Grant received an undergraduate degree from Baruch College, CUNY in International Economics and Finance with a minor in Studio/Ceramic Art.[2] Following this, Grant received a master's degree in Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture.[citation needed]

Career edit

Grant held Principal and Associate Principal positions at Steinberg Architects and AECOM. Additionally, Grant was an Assistant Professor at the University of San Francisco for five years.[citation needed]

Having gained 15 years' experience in design, she founded and is the principle of blink!LAB in Oakland, California.[citation needed] At blink!LAB, Grant combines architectural, industrial, and urban design with economics and fabrication. Her work focuses on social justice-oriented design and high-performance buildings.[citation needed]

She has been involved in strategic community regeneration as well as Housing and Wealth Securities through Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) designs.[3]
