Jules Howard is a British zoology correspondent and non-fiction author, focusing on themes that include animal cognition, evolution, animal welfare and the history of science. [1] [2] [3] [4]

His popular science books include ‘Infinite Life’[5], the Barker award-winning ‘Wonderdog[6] and, for children, ‘Respect the Insects[7]. In his role as a zoology correspondent, Howard contributes regularly to TV and radio and appears frequently at literature and science festivals. He writes regularly for the Guardian and BBC Science Focus magazine and has presented live shows at Cheltenham Science Festival[8], Edinburgh International Science Festival[9], New Scientist Live[10] and the Hay Festival, performing alongside Julian Clary.[11]

Howard has a degree in zoology (from The University of Liverpool) and a Masters (from The University of Liverpool) in Evolution.[12] He attended Guilsborough Academy in Northamptonshire.
