Jonathan Raymond (born October 17, 1972) is an American author, business executive, and leadership coach. He is known for his book Good Authority and as the founder of Refound, a leadership coaching company.

Early Life and Education edit

Born in Long Island, New York, Raymond pursued a BA in Philosophy at Binghamton University and completed his JD at New York University School of Law. His academic interests included Constitutional Law, Property Law, and Tax Law.

Career edit

Raymond’s career included roles in renewable energy, software, and executive coaching. In 2011, he became the CEO of eMyth.[1], where he worked until 2015. He then founded Refound, a company focusing on integrating personal growth with business development.

Notable Publications edit

Raymond’s work, Good Authority: How to Become the Leader Your Team is Waiting For, was first published in 2016 by IdeaPress Publishing[2]. The book discusses leadership, accountability, and communication in a professional setting. Addressing the evolving dynamics of leadership it underscores the pivotal roles of accountability, personal evolution, and efficacious communication. Good Authority received the Axiom Business Book Awards Silver Medal in 2018[3].

Volunteering edit

Raymond was a co-founder and instructor with a non-profit project called the Mind Body Awareness Project, which aims to introduce meditation to juvenile hall inmates. At the time, he worked with at-risk and incarcerated youth around the San Francisco Bay Area, teaching them awareness and anger management practices. Raymond no longer runs this initiative, but it continues to actively operate and support the Bay Area community.

Currently, Jonathan serves as an advisor to Un Mar de Colores, a non-profit dedicated to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and ocean stewardship through surf therapy, environmental education, and mentorship for children of color and underserved youth.

Honors and Recognitions edit

Raymond received the Axiom Business Book Award in 2018 and was listed as one of Inc. Magazine’s Top 100 Leadership Speakers in the same year[4]
