Joe Goldblatt (born 04 June 1952) is an Emeritus Professor of Planned Events at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland.[1]
Special Events Management edit
Dr. Goldblatt is the founder of the International Special Events Society (ISES) (now known as the International Live Events Association) and created the Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) international qualification program. Dr. Goldblatt is the author of “The Art and Science of Celebration”, still in use today by students[2] . Dr. Goldblatt continues to publish articles and books and as of October 2023, has published more than 40 books[3] in the field of event management. During Dr. Goldblatt’s career, he has produced events featuring President Ronald Reagan, Barbara Bush, Oprah Winfrey and Donald Trump.[4]. His firm also produced events at the USA White House [4], the opening of the Nashville Music City Center [5], and the opening of the Trump Taj Mahal Casino and Resort now the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, [6] among hundreds of other events [4]
