Jo Hye-won (hangul; 조혜원 born; May 31st, 2005, Seoul, South Korea), better known by the stage name Zoa (조아), is a South Korean singer and rapper under IST Entertainment. She is the main rapper, visual, and maknae of the girl group Weeekly.
EARLY LIFE & CAREER
Jo Hye-won was born on May 31st, 2005 in Seoul, South Korea. Her family consists of herself and her parents. She won the grand prize in a high school English competition. Zoa became a trainee in April 2019, having the shortest training time among the members. One of the songs she used in her audition was the Red Velvet song "Russian Roulette" Before her debut, she attracted the attention of netizens with her physical beauty despite her young age. On May 11, 2020, her profile photo for Weeekly was revealed. The group debuted on June 30 with their first mini album We are and its title track "Tag Me (@Me)". On December 13, the group's official Twitter announced that Zoa will be making her acting debut in the web film 3.5th Period. On May 19, 2023, Zoa was featured as a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Queendom Puzzle but was eliminated on Episode 9, finishing in 19th place.
