This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). He graduated from Columbia College in 1989 with a degree in marketing.[6] He immediately entered professional life by starting his first company, Northwest Paper, in San Francisco, CA, at 25. Three years later after its founding, Northern Paper was later acquired by Wausau Coated Paper.[7]
In 1999, Simon took over apartmentrenting.com, which was a dot com startup at the time, and turned it around for an acquisition to market leader moveonin.com a few years later.
In 2014, he founded JiMMYBAR! With his sister Annette.[8] The company would soon become a market leader and a pioneer in "Functional Foods."
Jim is a recognized face at many UFC events. He has been an active participant in wrestling, submission grappling, and mixed martial arts for many years. His brand JiMMYBAR!, is a pioneer in backing and sponsoring famous martial artists like Henry Cejudo, Randy Couture, Kelvin Gastelum, Kevin Holland, and Erin Blanchfield. The company also supports female athletes like Forrest Molinari, Olympic Gold Medalist Helen Maroulis, and Victoria Anthony.
Jim is also involved in licensing deals with some celebrities, including the Grammy Award winner Jim Peterik, the co-writer of the song “Eye of the Tiger.” The song was written for Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky III. The deal resulted in the creation of the "Eye of the Tiger Bar."
