Jedi Noordegraaf is an illustrator from Ede. After graduating as an Architect (2004, nominated for the Roos Geesink Prize) from the Artez Academy of Architecture, he has worked as an architect, designer, musician and illustrator. In the 2009 he founded Studio Vandaar, focused on editorial illustrations as well as autonomous work. His illustrations can be described as layered and conceptual with a minimalist and colourful colour palette. For him, the creative process is a combination of rationality and sensibility; Based on a pencil sketch, he elaborates the idea, not shunning experimentation in colour and shape and analogue and digital techniques. In 2015, with Desert Fathers (illustrations & visual identity), he won the award for the best Theological book of 2015. This book has since been published in German and French. He works for various magazines and publishers.
