Since learning to play music as a child in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, Jay McK has traveled around the world with artists such as Grammy Award-winning musician Shaun Martin (Snarky Puppy, Kirk Franklin), Chris Dave and the DrumHedz, and American Idol’s Ruben Studdard.
Known for his funky bass lines, melodic melodies, and lush soundscapes, Jay McK’s style flows effortlessly from solid grooves to energetic solos. Whether he’s on stage with two other musicians or 12, the industry veteran excels at finding a quintessential vibe that “feels good” for that particular moment.
Currently, he records and/or tours with a range of globally renowned artists, including RC and the Gritz, Ghost-Note, Bobby Sparks, and LiV Warfield.
