Jason Kergosien (born March 19, 1973) is an American technologist and entrepreneur running.[1] for Texas's 26th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.
The district is anchored in Denton County, a suburban county north of Dallas and Fort Worth. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Before running for office, he acted as a Cloud Principal Solutions Architect for various clients.
He is a strong supporter of eliminating government control on free speech, whether directly from government action, or through proxies, such as media and social media.
Early life, education, and technical career
editJason Kergosien was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Nancy (Smith) and Everett Kergosien; his paternal family emigrated from France, with Adolphe Aime Ange Marie Kergosien in 1880, and his family has a rich history in their community in Mississippi. Both his parents have blood lines that go back to early America. On his father's side (maternal grandfather), he is related to Francis Eaton, a passenger on the Mayflower and signer of the Mayflower Compact. His mother's bloodline ties to the Powhatan Native American leader Moytoy of Tellico.
He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Management Information Systems (MIS), distinguishing himself as a member of the Fellows Program and a Business Honors student in 1998. Kergosien is a non-denominational Christian.
Jason founded Ingen Systems[2], a technical consulting company, in 2001 and acted as CEO through 2017. Jason was honored as a Microsoft MVP[3]
Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives

editKergosien, who had never held any public office, entered the 2024 Republican primary election to replace retiring congressman Michael C. Burgess. The district, comprising Cooke, Wise, and almost all of Denton County (except the city of Denton), With 11 candidates running for the same position, pundits anticipate a runoff election.
He is on the record for supporting term limits[4] in Congress.
