Jaan Nisar (also known as Deewangi 2) is a 2024 Pakistani romantic television series directed by Mohsin Mirza and written by Rehana Aftab. The series is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, under their production banner of 7th Sky Entertainment. It stars Danish Taimoor and Hiba Bukhari as leads. The series first premiered on 11 May 2024 on Geo Entertainment. It is sequel of the lead cast 2019 television series Deewangi.[1]
Premise
editNosherwan Ghaznavi (Danish Taimoor), a young man from a wealthy family, is thrust into a new reality after his brother's untimely passing. With great reluctance, he assumes the responsibilities left behind, only to find them weighing heavily on his shoulders. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Dua (Hiba Bukhari), and he is immediately smitten. But this newfound love presents a difficult choice: prioritize his duties or follow his heart.
Dua (Hiba Bukhari), a kind and gentle soul from a humble background, has faced her share of hardships alongside her two sisters. Despite her innocence, fate has dealt her a series of unfortunate blows - until she crosses paths with Nosherwan Ghaznavi, altering the course of their lives forever.

editDevelopment and casting
editIn October 2023, it was reported that Danish Taimoor and Hiba Bukhari will made their television comeback in the second season of Deewangi. In 2024 the name for the series changed from Deewangi 2 to Jaan Nisar. Teaser for the series released on 17 April 2024 by the Geo Entertainment and the first episode broadcast on May 11, 2024 on the same network.[2]
Filming
editPrincipal photography begun in August 2023. The filming for the drama series took place in the city of Karachi, Pakistan. Minor filming also shoot outside of the city.
