Draft:Infinigate Group

  • Comment: @User:Dm20476: Listen. Please note that haven't improved the draft [1] – you have effectively replaced one bad revision with another. You MUST improve the draft according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, notably, WP:NPOV, WP:NCORP, and WP:V. Wikipedia is not a marketing platform where you can place adverts for free, this is an encyclopedia. Your draft is full of unencyclopedic words, it fails to demonstrate your subject's notability, and your footnotes are an expression of insolence towards the reviewers. I hope you understand that mere facts are not sufficient to write an article, your claims must be verifiable. Also keep in mind that you MUST disclose your paid editing according to the ToU. • Comment: thank you for the improvements in terms of promotional wording, but the coverage is still WP:ROUTINE. channelweb doesn't appear to be WP:RELIABLE, needs better sourcing. She was afairy 01:28, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: The entirety of the section “story” reads like an advertisement. Puff words and phrases like “internationally recognized,” “ high-quality products,” and “comprehensive service” are not appropriate. Please see to it that the section is removed or wholly revised. • Comment: Zero evidence of notability, primary sources and routine business reporting do not contribute towards notability per WP:NCORP. DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:18, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

The Infinigate Group.[1] is an IT company specialized in Cyber Security[2], Secure Networks and Secure Cloud services. It positions itself as a Value Added Distributor[3] catering to both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)[4] as well as large corporations. The company is headquartered in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, and operates across more than 30 locations in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). As of the latest financial reporting, the company employs well over 1,000 individuals and generates a revenue exceeding 2 billion euros.[5]

History edit

The history of the Infinigate Group traces back to its inception in 1996 under the name Internet2000. Founded in Germany and Switzerland, the venture was spearheaded by Axel Schultze, a German entrepreneur, and David Martinez, a Swiss entrepreneur of Spanish descent.

Initially, Internet2000 focused on the sale of various Internet technologies such as Web Servers, HTML Development Environments, Online Shop solutions, Browsers, and Email programs. With rapid growth, the company soon expanded its operations into other European countries.

In the year 2000, the company rebranded itself as Infinigate. Subsequently, from 2001 onwards, Infinigate transitioned its focus towards the distribution of IT security solutions.

Under the leadership of David Martinez, Infinigate evolved into an international provider of cyber security solutions. The company pursued acquisitions to broaden its geographical presence, enhance its portfolio, and fortify its position in the market.

In 2017, the majority ownership of Infinigate was acquired by the private equity firm H.I.G[6] and later transferred[7] to Bridgepoint, another private equity company, in 2021.
