Plot

Makoto Kurosaka , an ordinary high school student in the modern era, visits an ancient temple on a school trip. As he walks through an underground passageway where the main image is kept, he comes across a mysterious door, which leads to Honnoji Temple , which is currently under attack by Akechi Mitsuhide . There, he accidentally saves Oda Nobunaga from a difficult situation, and is invited to his castle as a guest by Nobunaga. Using his imagination and modern knowledge, he aims to unify the country together with Nobunaga.

Makoto Kurosaka

Makoto Kurosaka is a Heisei era high school student visiting Kyoto on a school excursion, decides to go to a temple to see a Buddhist statue that is being displayed for the first time in 450 years. However, as he navigates the pitch-dark underground passageway of the temple hall, he gets separated from his friends and somehow manages to escape the darkness, only to find himself timeslipped in the middle of the "Honnoji Incident" in the Sengoku Period! After saving Nobunaga Oda from his assasination, Makoto becomes a guest of the Oda family and helps Nobunaga unify the country, as a result of unintentionally changed Japanese history by saving Nobunaga, Makoto have changed the fates of many historical figures including many famous samurais particularly those affiliated with the Oda Clan. Despite being a normal highschool student, Makoto is actually extremely intelligent with many talents, being the son of a martial arts instructor and an onmyouji, he is already a full fledged Kashima-Shinto-ryu kenjutsu master and an onmyouji. He is an enthusiastic Japanologist, well-versed in all aspects of samurai culture and history and has a wide range of general knowledge which he learned from the modern era, he is also highly knowledgeable in Western cultures, surprising the contemporaries of the Sengoku era. He assisted Nobunaga by giving him advice based on modern knowledge and past history. Makoto is also an expert cook partially as his hobby of cooking and gourmet love for delicious food as he managed to reproduced modern cuisine even Yoshoku cuisine that was meant to begin development during the Meiji era in the Sengoku era with limited resources. Personality wise, Makoto is extremely gentle and quiet who prefer to resolve conflicts peacefully, he is also talented in negotiations and diplomacy when settling disputes.

Azai Chacha

Daughter of Oichi and Azai Nagamasa, the eldest of the Azai sisters and the older sister of Ohatsu and Oeyo. One of Oda Nobunaga's nieces. Historically, Chacha was meant to be the concubine and the second wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and mother of Hideyoshi's sons Tsurumatsu and Hideyori, before eventually dying in the Siege of Osaka. Due to Makoto saving her uncle Nobunaga in the Honnouji incident, Chacha's fate was changed along with the fate of her mother and sisters. Chacha eventually fell in love with Makoto and under her mother and uncle matchmaking married him.
