• Comment: Unless they contribute towards notability, the 'recent mentions' and 'recent interviews' sections are irrelevant, might as well take them out. Wikipedia does not provide a log of someone's media appearances, she can save that sort of stuff for her own or her publisher's website. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:30, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: All the referencing supports only the 'Awards' and 'Bibliography' sections – where is all the rest of this coming from?
This also implies that the sources may not establish notability (of her as a person), although I haven't analysed them properly so not declining for that reason. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:28, 28 June 2024 (UTC)

Hoda Hadadi (February 2, 1977 Tehran) is an award winning Iranian Illustrator, author and poet. Her literary and visual works often support eco-feminism, featuring women as the narrators and heroines of their natural daily life stories. She delves into the lost narrators or forgotten narratives of women and their relationship with nature. She is particularly known for her collage technique in her visual artworks, especially her use of transparent silk paper.

Biography

edit

She was three years old at the start of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and when she was five, the Iran-Iraq War began, lasting for eight years. Despite the systematic encouragement for children to draw pictures about the revolution and the war, her drawings featured only girls, women, and nature, with no trace of war or ideology. At the age of ten, she started writing poems inspired by Ferdowsi's Shahnameh (The Book of Kings). Her professional career began at the age of nineteen with publications in children's magazines. To date, more than eighty of her books have been published in Iran and other countries, including the United States, Denmark, Japan, and France, with some receiving international awards. She continues to speak about women's issues and the authenticity of women's narratives.

Awards

edit

She has received numerous awards from both Iranian and international festivals.
