Historic Portland Place, or Portland Place, is a historic house museum in the community of Locust in Middletown Township. The three hundred year old home is the most significant surviving Hartshorne family residence and was owned by the family for nearly its entire existence.[2] The home's history is closely linked to the history of the Navesink Highlands and preserves the legacy of the Hartshorne family in the wider region.[3]
