Harvey Hughes is a person renowned for his contributions to the design of systems that cater to at-risk students in the United States' public school sector. Over the span of three decades, Hughes has implemented these systems across 35 states. The primary objective of his technological innovations has been to aid educational institutions in the areas of discipline management, disproportionality, discrimination, and academic growth. In recent years, spanning approximately six, his emphasis has shifted towards ensuring Equity in Education. This encompasses a balanced approach to both Discipline and Instruction.[1]
Early Life & Education
editBorn on January 26, 1962, in St. Joe, Missouri, Harvey Hughes spent his formative years in various southern states, including Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas. It was in Mountain Home, Arkansas, where he settled during his high school years. There, he actively participated in football, representing the Mountain Home Bombers. Hughes completed his secondary education from Mountain Home Public Schools in 1980.
Continuing his educational journey, Hughes enrolled at Arkansas State University
- Jonesboro from 1980 to 1984, securing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
In his personal life, Hughes wed Teresa (Sexton) Hughes in August 1984. The couple is blessed with two sons: Heath Hughes (born 1989) and Braden Hughes (born 1993). Additionally, Hughes achieved his Private Pilot license in 1997.[1]
