[*Not to be confused with another movie Gupt Gyaan]
Gupt Gyan ("Secret knowledge") was an Indian Hindi film,[1] that was released in 1974. It was mainly based on imparting knowledge on sex and related matters.[2] Many such problems used to cause unnecessary stress to youngsters. For instance, traditionally it was taught that masturbation was bad for health, and most adolescents had a guilt feeling after every such act. In that pre-internet era, where information on sex was scant and not easily accessible, such lack of information - or even lack of knowledge - was a cause of great stress to youngsters.
Made on a low budget, this film did very well.
