Gracie and Pedro: Pets to the Rescue (also known as Gracie and Pedro's Not So Awesome Adventure) is a 2024 animated buddy comedy adventure film directed by Kevin Donovan and Gottfried Roodt who wrote the screenplay with Jaisa C. Bishop, Bruce A. Taylor and Kelly Peters with a story by Bishop and Taylor, and produced by Amy Katherine Taylor. An international co-production between Canada, South Africa and the United States, the film features a star-studded voice cast, such as Claire Alan, Cory Doran, Bianca Alongi, Bill Nighy, Susan Sarandon, Alicia Silverstone, Brooke Shields, Danny Trejo. The story follows two family pets: a heroic blonde dog named Gracie and a brazen gray rescue cat named Pedro, who are now lost in the whole family with nothing in common. However, due to the journey facing challenges, aided by owners' viral song, encountering characters until reunited with Sophie and Gavin to find a way home.
Gracie and Pedro: Pets to the Rescue was first released theatrically in Russia on May 23, 2024, followed by the United States in August 2024, and in Mexico on August 15, 2024.
Premise edit
Pets Gracie and Pedro sets out on a not so awesome adventure of a lifetime. Gracie is a pooch dog who is a best in show dog, and Pedro is a gray cat who finds some food seek out in the trash. Unfortunately, after the family leaves on a summer vacation, the brawling suddenly destroys the entire airport baggage carousel, leaving just the pets lost and stranded without their collars in a frightening world. Gracie and Pedro finds every animal in every day and life, including an eagle named Conrad, a rabbit named Shades, a reptile named Sissy-Chrissy, and a goldfish named Laurence.

The film was confirmed in a draft November 2022,and was completed in November 2023 with casting announced.
Revealed that the film was come from the European Film Market as in February 2024.[1]
Release edit
Gracie and Pedro: Pets to the Rescue was theatrically released in Russia on May 23, 2024, serving as the world premiere for the film. It will then premiered in Mexico on August 15, 2024.
In the United States, the film is rated PG for mild action/peril and rude material, and it will be released in August 2024.
