Garhwal A Home in the Mountains is a documentary film on the life of women in Garhwal, Uttarakhand.

In the mountainous region of the Garhwal Himalayas, life is all about juggling and managing natural resources. This arduous task falls mostly on the women folk from that region. The produce from their fields is not sufficient for them to feed their families all year round. The man is groomed to leave the village and work in the cities and send money to their families. The women get firewood and fodder from the jungles. They also plant trees so as to ensure that the rainforests do not deplete. They are after all their source of water for irrigation of their lands.

The film was funded by SBMA Plan International and was telecast in the Film Festival in Paro, Bhutan.[1]
