Fredj Moussa (born 1992, Paris) is a French artist and filmmaker who lives and works between France and Tunisia. His body of work combines steel structures and film, oscillating between sculpture and cinematic presentation devices.

Biography edit

After graduating from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, in 2018, Fredj Moussa took up residency at the Cité internationale des arts[1] in Paris in 2019. Between 2021 and 2023, he studied at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains.[2] In 2024, he plans to take part in the 8th edition of Création en cours at Ateliers Medicis.

Exhibitions edit

Fredj Moussa has presented his work in internationally renowned venues such as Loop Barcelona (Spain) represented by Le violon bleu gallery (Tunisia), Tiger Strikes Asteroid[3] in Philadelphia (USA), Izmir Mediterranean Biennial8 (Turkey), Nuit Blanche Paris (France), Cabane B(Switzerland), and Les Brasseurs in Liège (Belgium), among others. His films, including Solar Noon[4] (2022), have also been selected for festivals including the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival[5] (Czech Republic).

Award edit

Fredj Moussa was a finalist for the Studio Collector prize at the Photo Days Festival at the MEP in Paris in 2022. His film Solar Noon wins the CIFRA prize at Loop Barcelona[6] in 2023.
