Career

edit

Piegaro started playing guitar at an early age. In 1996, he formed The Degenerics, an influential New Brunswick area punk band, releasing two EPs and one album. He joined Ensign as lead guitarist in 2003, touring the U.S. and Europe and contributing to one recording.

In 2006, he helped form the classic line-up of Star Fucking Hipsters with Stza (Leftover Crack/Choking Victim) and Ara Babajian (Leftover Crack/The Slackers). He wrote and played on all releases, contributing both guitar and bass. He toured with them extensively, playing the U.S., Europe, and Australia regularly before relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2011.

Once established in the Bay Area, he joined as lead guitarist of The Love Songs in 2012, with whom he recorded two albums, played numerous gigs, and provided voice-over work for the band’s animated short film, "That Sucks". He played drums for the briefly reactivated Criminals in 2013 as well as joined Conquest For Death as lead guitarist on a tour of South Korea and Japan in 2015 in addition to writing and recording material for their final album.

Piegaro joined Worriers in 2018 as lead guitarist, with whom he has recorded two releases thus far and tours the U.S. in headlining gigs as well as support for Brian Fallon (2022), The Menzingers (2021), Jawbreaker (2022), and Alkaline Trio (2024).
