Emma Camp (Marine Biologist) Emma Camp (born 13 April 1987, in Essex, England), i a marine biologist and is currently the Team Leader of the Future Reefs Team at the University of Technology Sydney. Her research covers the mechanisms of stress tolerance in corals. Through her work she hopes to contribute to a sustainable future for coral reefs. She strongly advocates for the retention of women and girls in STEM and is an active science communicator of her research to the public. In 2019 she was named a Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations and was awarded an Associate Laureate from the Rolex Awards for Enterprise. She has been named a Time Magazine Next Generation Leader.
