Emily Hunt is an American-British author, public speaker, and government adviser, recognized for her advocacy against sexual violence. She played a key role in influencing legal reforms related to voyeurism in the United Kingdom.[1]

In 2015, Hunt was filmed without her consent while unconscious in a hotel room in East London, leading to a legal case that highlighted gaps in the UK’s voyeurism laws.[4] After five years of public advocacy and crowdfunding a judicial review against the UK government through CrowdJustice, her efforts contributed to legal reforms aimed at closing these gaps[5]. In 2021, she was appointed as an independent adviser to the UK government’s end to end rape review, for which she wrote the forward.[6][7]

Awards and Recognition
