Elizabeth Ann Quattrocki is an American psychiatrist, neuroscientist, and researcher. She holds a position at Harvard University’s McLean Hospital and previously served as a visiting scholar at University College London.

In the field of neuroscience, Quattrocki has significantly contributed to the understanding of autism.[1] [2]. Her paper on the relationship between autism and oxytocin [3] with Karl J Friston, a leading scholar in neuroscience, is a notable work in this field. Additionally, her research extends to other areas, including the biological links between smoking and depression[4], the study of shab potassium channels[5], and Ca2+ channels[6]. Elizabeth Quattrocki began her academic journey at Stanford University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology and Humanities in 1984. She then attended Yale University, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Yale Medical School and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience concurrently in 1994. Her postgraduate training included a year in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (1995) and a Psychiatry residency at McLean Hospital (completed in 1998).

Throughout her career, Elizabeth Quattrocki has been recognized for her academic and research excellence with several awards and honors.
