Biography

edit

Electric Enemy, formed in 2019, is the alternative rock project of London-based multi-instrumentalist and three-time award-winning songwriter Jim (James) Lawton. Powered by heavy guitars, colossal drums, and dynamic vocals, their sound combines driving guitar riffs with perfectly crafted melodies, delivering a mature and impactful sound.

Career

edit

Their music, reminiscent of MUSE, Royal Blood, Dead Poets Society and Foo Fighters, delves into everyday reflections, inner demons, and societal critiques much of which is based upon Lawton’s own experiences with mental health issues, a cause he openly supports. After a series of successful releases in 2021-2023, Electric Enemy released their debut album in April 2023 licensed from Red Sun Records to Germany’s ‘Circular Wave Records GmbH'. Featuring production credits from Sam Miller (Razorlight, Alberta Cross), Peter Hutchings (Royal Blood), and Grammy winner Adrian Bushby (MUSE, Foo Fighters).
