Ehsan Mirabzadeh Ardakani (احسان میراب‌زاده اردکانی; in Persian, born February 28, 1974) is an Iranian researcher, writer and publisher in the field of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts and an entrepreneur in this subject. His works are among tourist guide books about Tehran.[1][2][3] He is known as "a skilled tourism expert".[4]

Career

Ehsan Mirabzadeh Ardakani is an Iranian writer, journalist and entrepreneur in creative and cultural industries. He is a researcher and author of tourist guide books. His published works are based on walking tourism routes, tourism axes based on public transportation, Ecotourism, backpacking trips and attractions of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts in the capital city of Iran and Tehran province.[5] Ehsan Mirabzadeh started his activity in writing travel guidebooks with the 13-volume collection "Cities of Tehran province in the mirror of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism" in 2008. This books has been reprinted 14 times until 2023.[6]

Ehsan Mirabzadeh Ardakani believes that the current function of Tehran is the same as the function of Isfahan during the Safavid era. So being the capital leads to handicraft artists in Tehran expanding their workshops. For this reason, in his investigations, he concluded that there are about 170 out of 200 handicrafts in Tehran.[7][8]

Tehran Journal

Ehsan Mirabzadeh Ardakani is the founder, owner, and editor-in-chief of "Tehran Journal" with the international standard serial number (ISSN) 768X-2423. It is a social and cultural magazine with nationwide distribution, established in 2015 by Ehsan Mirabzadeh, focusing on publishing articles in the fields of Tehran studies, tourism, and culture. In 2020, "Tehran Journal", received the "Tehran Award" in the media category for publishing research articles.[9][10]

Other works

Ehsan Mirabzadeh Ardakani managed the communication of the 14th, 15th, and 16th International Press and News Agencies Festival and Exhibition. He is the editor-in-chief of the legal monthly magazine 'Kanoon' and has also launched Radio Photosynthesis.[11]

Awards

Ehsan Mirabzadeh Ardakani was selected as the best public relations expert in the country at the 7th National Festival of Public Relations Publications and received a certificate of appreciation for this period of the festival (2011).[12][13]

"Tehran Award" received by "Tehran Journal" owned and editor-in-chief by Ehsan Mirabzadeh, as the top media in publishing research articles at the 7th "Tehran Award" Research Festival (2020).[14]

On the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the World Handicrafts Council of Iran, the book "handicrafts in Tehran" written by Ehsan Mirabzadeh was unveiled in the presence of Zarghami, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.[15]
