Didi Krishna Kumari, better known as Didi, is the head of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune.

Didi has spoken at events including the Freedom From Diabetes 10 Year Anniversary Celebration, Pune[1] the Indiaspora Global Forum, Delhi [2] and the inauguration of a street named Rev Dada Vaswani Way, New Jersey.[3] She recently spoke on "Habits for Happiness" in the St Thomas, [4] "Empower Yourself" in St. Maarten, [5] "Choose Happiness" in Atlanta,[6] and "The Art of True Living" in Nagpur, India. [7] She speaks on topics including the influence of social media to the importance of silence.[8][9] Additionally, she speaks at various Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune events.[10]

She was recently invited to meet Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.[11]

Didi has authored numerous books such as Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani – His Life and Teachings, Dada J.P. Vaswani’s Historic Visit to Sindh and How to Embrace Pain. Her biography, Dada: A Messenger of Love, published by Pan Macmillan, takes an in-depth look at Dada’s life.[12] She is an author and a compiler of Dada’s talks, songs, and teachings. She is also the editor of the monthly East West Series magazine.

Furthering one of the Mission’s core tenets of ‘reverence for all,’ Dada popularized November 25th, Sadhu Vaswani’s birthday, as ‘International Meatless Day’ across the world.[15]

Personal Life

Didi was born to Gulshan and Kishore Bagomal Thadani in Pune, India on May 9, 1961. Didi began her spiritual journey at age three under Sadhu T. L. Vaswani and Dada J. P. Vaswani. Didi served Dada and the Sadhu Vaswani Mission in the capacity of Working Chairperson until he passed on, into the Unseen, in July, 2018.[16][17]

Growing up at the Mission, Didi attended St. Mira’s School in Pune, and subsequently received her degree in Commerce from St. Mira’s College. She completed her education with a double Master’s in Taxation and Company Law, with first-class honours.
