Early life
editDebjani Modak was born into a Bengali Hindu family.Her father is a Businessman while her mother is a homemaker. Until class V, She did her schooling at St.Johns Diocesan Girls Higher Secondary School, Kolkata and then she studied in a boarding school St Anthony's School (Girls)), Kurseong near Darjeeling and later completed her XII'th standard(commerce stream) at B.D.M International in Kolkata West Bengal. She couldn't continue her studies further as she stepped into acting career at a very young age, hence, she had done her BA English Hon's. Her first language is Bengali and she is fluent in English, Hindi. She can manage Nepali, Tamil and Telugu.

editShe made her acting debut with the 2013 Bengali film Knockout.[1]
Television career
editIn the year 2015, She made her television debut with Bengali serial Aponjon.[2]
In Year 2020, She made her Tamil Television debut with Serial Rasaathi.[3]
In 2021, Debjani made her Telugu debut with serial Ennenno Janmala Bandham which aired on Star Maa.
