Rabbi Dovid Yosef Kidybinski Z”L was raised in Toronto. Before marriage, he studied in Yeshiva Shaar Yashuv Of Far Rockaway, Yeshiva Chasan Sofer of Brooklyn, and Mesivta Eitz Chaim Bobov of Brooklyn. During that period, he became very close to the Bobover Rebbe Shlita, and was considered as a Ben Bayis.
He received much private instruction from the Rebbe in Chasidus and Penimius Hatorah.
His wedding was held in the Bais Hamedrash Hagadol Of Bobov with the Bobover Rebbe officiating, and with the attendance of thousands of chassidim (videos of the event can be found on the internet).
After marriage he continued his studies for 3 years in the Bobov Kollel Of Brooklyn, where he completed Hilchos Shabbos.
In Brooklyn, he received Horaah in Hilchos Shabbos from: The Bobover Dayan, HaRav Chaim Yaakov Tauber, Shlita, HaRav BenTzion Strasser, Shlita( author of Nishmas Shabbos on Hilchos Shabbos), and The Satmar Dayan, HaRav Leichtag, Shlita.
Upon moving back to Toronto, he studied for 8 years in The Bobov Kollel, and completed large sections of Orach Chaim and Yoreh Deah. He is the author of the Bobov weekly publication, Olas Shabbos and is the Magid Shiur and Rosh Chabura Of Penimius Toronto, delivering weekly shiurim in many shuls throughout the city. We mourn his passing.
