Dangposeong Fortress Ruins(통영 당포성) is a mountain fortress built of stones using the top of the hill and the slope of the hill in Samdeok-ri, Sanyang-eup, Tongyeong-si.
It is said that in the 23rd year (1374) of King Gongmin of Goryeo, General Choi Young led soldiers and many people to build castles to defeat the Japanese pirates.
In particular, as Tongyeong has been selected as the No. 1 night-specialized city in Korea, many people visit it as a place where they can enjoy the beautiful sunset.
