Cornelia Sharpe (Cornelia Lynn Sharpe; Born 18 October 1943) is an American Actress and fashion model, who is known for starring in films like, Serpico (1973), Open Season (1974), The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1975), The Next Man (1976), and Venom (1981).
Early Life edit
Sharpe was born in Selma, Alabama, USA, the daughter of Warner Jack Sharpe Jr, a dental supplier, and Evelyn Horne Sharpe, a dental assistant and secretary. She was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1961.
Career edit
Sharpe made her film debut in Kansas City Bomber (1972) in a minor role, she made an uncredited appearance in The Way We Were (1973). She also appeared opposite Al Pacino in Serpico (1973), and Sean Connery in The Next Man (1976), where she played an assassin/spy who is sent to spy on and eventually kill Connery's character.
Sharpe's first starring role was in the TV Film Cover Girls (film) (1977), which also guest-starred former James Bond, George Lazenby. Cover Girls was intended to be a pilot for a TV show, but it never took off. She had another starring role in S*H*E (1980), where she also played a spy, coincidentally, S+H+E was also intended to be a pilot for a TV show that somehow never took off. Sharpe then appeared in a minor role in Venom (1981 film).
Sharpe did not appear in any more films after Venom (1981) until Table One (2000), 19 years later. She went on to play minor parts in The Adventures of Pluto Nash (2002) and Vote or Die: Listz for President (2008).
Personal Life edit
Sharpe was married to Joseph Gallison from December 1967, until their divorce in May 1970. Sharpe was then married to producer, Martin Bregman, who she worked with on Serpico (1973), The Next Man (1976), and S+H+E (1980), in 1981 after filming of S+H+E wrapped up. They had a daughter together, Marissa Bregman.
