Chris Smith is an author, mathematician and teacher at Grange Academy, Kilmarnock.

Chris Smith was awarded an MBE in the New Years Honours list by Charles III in 2024 for services to Mathematics Education and to the community in East Ayrshire.[1]

In 2018, Smith was recognised as Scottish Teacher of the Year at the Scottish Education Awards.[2]

Smith, his wife Elaine and two of their children also appeared in the 2019 series of The Family Brain Games a TV show hosted by Dara Ó Briain.[3]
