Cheikh Mohammed Abdallahi Al Hassani of Sagalé is a Mauritanian-Guinean Cheikh and Cherif of the 19th and 20th century, who spent his life giving dawah in the Fouta Djallon region of Guinea and West Africa.

Cheikh Charif Mohammed Abdoullahi Al Hassani of Sagalé, from the noble descent of the holy prophet Mohammed and whose existence was exclusively devoted to Islam. It was around 1918 that he arrived at the port of Conakry after an odyssey that took him to Guinea-Bissau. Subsequently, he began a journey which took him to Upper Guinea, then to Fouta-Djallon, where he made contact with great scholars of the day. On site, in Sagalé, the holy Sharif devoted the rest of his life to transmitting and practicing Islam.[1]
Born around 1890 in Hodh, from a Cherifian Ehel Bouddadiya family of the Tinwajiou tribe. After studying the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, destiny willed that it was in Sagale, on the mountains of Fouta-Jallon that he settled to teach Islam and found a family. From his Hodh native to his adopted Fouta, this Saint bequeaths a teaching rich in devotion, generosity and tolerance. When he died in 1957, his fame had gone beyond the borders of Africa.[2]
