Castle Rat is an American doom metal band from Brooklyn, New York. Their debut album Into the Realm will be released on April 12th 2024 on King Volume Records.
Castle Rat performs shows in costume and using character names. Vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Riley Pinkerton is "The Rat Queen", guitarist Franco Vittore "The Count", bassist Ronnie Lanzilotta III "The Plague Doctor", and drummer Josh Strmic "The Druid". The band is joined on stage and in music videos by Maddy Wright as "The Rat Reaperess".
Into the Realm was recorded at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band returned there to film the video for the song Dagger Dragger.[1]
