The Capture Of Cuttack occurred between the Bengal Subah and the Maratha Confederacy in 1745.[2][3]
Bengal had repelled a Maratha invasion in 1742. The Maratha ruler of Nagpur, Raghuji Bhonsle, in 1745, succeeded in occupying Orissa. [2][3]

editAs soon as Raghoji Bhosale came to know that Alivardi khan left towards Cuttack he with his 14000 troops attacked him and captured Cuttack Duralabh Ram was taken as prisoner and Abdul Aziz fought for as long as he could but atlast Surender.
