Brian Kevin Wernham, FBCS FAPM CEng CITP born 1961 (age 62–63) is a British engineer, project management author and politician.
Having studied at the University of Surrey, Wernham worked as an engineer at British Aerospace building Harrier Jump Jets (1979 - 1981) and then as an consultant IT engineer. He authored and edited several project management best practice guides for the Association for Project Management.[1] and wrote a text book on Agile Project Management.[2] He was an audit manager at the National Audit Office producing reports for the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee[3]. He was a Trustee Director of the Association for Project Management between 2014 and 2019[4]
Early Life and Education edit
Wernham was born on in 1961 in Hampton, Middlesex, England. He was educated at Latymer Upper School, at the time an independent direct grant grammar school in London.[5] He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Surrey graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. He then started work while undertaking an MBA at the Henley Management College part-time.
Political career edit
Wernham has been Councillor for the Stanwix Urban Ward of the new Cumberland Unitary Authority since 2022. He has been selected as the Parliamentary Candidate for Carlisle for the Liberal Democrats in the 2024 General Election.[6][7]
