Brent Brueland (born February 1966) is a recognized figure in the field of agricultural technology and management, with a focus on strip-tillage systems. He currently serves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Environmental Tillage Systems (ETS), known for its SoilWarrior strip-tillage system.

Career

Brueland started his agriculture career in education and was the program coordinator for the Crop Adviser Institute at Iowa State University. He contributed to the development of interactive continuing education modules for crop advisers​[1]​. Additionally, he co-authored the award-winning courseware "Soybean Rust -- Biology and Risks"[2] with X. B. Yang, which won first prize in the software category of the American Society of Agronomy Educational Excellence Awards.[3]

Most recently, Brueland's role at ETS involves promoting sustainable farming practices and precision nutrient placement. He played a key role in ETS's partnership with the 4R Nutrient Stewardship Program, aimed at helping farmers adopt environmentally friendly nutrient placement techniques​.[4]

Brueland has also been involved in developing and marketing agricultural innovations like the SoilWarrior system and the ZoneNinja, a dual-purpose tool for freshening zones and sidedressing​.[5] He advocates for strip-tilling soybeans, promoting its benefits such as equivalent yields with lower seeding rates​.[6]

Brueland has been recognized for his expertise and guidance in conservation tillage and nutrient management.
