Brendan Gregory Brown (born 20 August 1989) is a real estate agent in the Los Angeles and New York City markets.[1]. Throughout his career, he was worked for Douglas Elliman, Knight Frank, and Westside Estate Agency. He joined Tal and Oren Alexander brokerage OFFICIAL in December 2023[2]
The following month OFFICIAL announced that he was selected out of 2,000 agents to launch PRODIGY in Los Angeles[3]. PRODIGY is an AI based and extensive interview program with the founders, which identifies the next big real estate stars. A month later in January 2024, Brown was named by The Real Deal and Elite Traveler as the Luxury Real Estate's Next Billion Dollar Agent[5].
Early life
Brendan Brown was born in Newport Beach, CA. He is the oldest of three boys, and his father is acclaimed trial attorney Gregory Brown[3]. Brendan played water polo and attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School, and spent the beginning of his collegiate career at the University of Arizona. While there, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Brendan Brown graduated magna cum lade from Chapman University with a BA in Business Administration and Finance.
He started his real estate career in Newport Beach, where he co-founded a boutique real estate brokerage Bespoke Realty, with a business partner in 2012.
Career
Upon moving to New York City, He was signed by Douglas Elliman and Knight Frank. He relocated back to Newport Beach in the winter of 2019 to get sober. When he returned back to work in California, he joined Kurt Rappaport's agency Westside Estate Agency. He remained an agent there for two years before departing.
The announcement that Brown was joining OFFICIAL was notable, as all agents in the firm that opened a market had to have $1 billion dollars in career sales. In December 2023, they announced he was being brought on and launching the PRODIGY program for Los Angeles[4]. "Brendan's mindset and commitment to his craft have landed him as a “PRODIGY,” an invitation-only data-driven program from OFFICIAL, designed to pluck out the cream of the crop real estate agents of the US and mentor them into even greater successes."[5]
Brendan represents and has represented many high profile and celebrity clients. Those known to be represented by Brendan Brown are Prince Harry & Meghan Markle [6][7], Adin Ross [8], Nathan Pearson [9], Lindsay Lohan, and Jacob Elordi. Brendan has been featured in The Hollywood Reporter[10], The Real Deal [11], Angeleno Magazine [12], Elite Traveler [13], The Daily Mail [14], The Mirror UK[15], amongst others.

Brendan Brown has appeared in multiple episodes of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles [16], Million Dollar Listing New York City, Buying Beverly Hills[17]. He also served as creative director for Domingo Zapata's first fashion show LOVEXFASHIONXART[18]. He is also in the process of writing his first two books. [19]
Personal life
In 2014, Brendan began dating British theater actor Jonathan Bailey[20], whom he met while visiting friend Lindsay Lohan while she was performaing her theater debut of Speed the Plow in London. In 2018, he had a brief romance with Antoni Porowski of Queer Eye[21]. On December 16, 2023, Brendan married Czech-born lawyer David Vrbecky. [22][23]. The wedding took place at famed Chateau Marmont[22], where he previously resided at the property at different times over the years. "Brendan harbors a surprising affection for hotels. He resided at the iconic Chateau Marmont Hotel for several months when he moved back to LA." [5][22], as well as the townhouse at the Sunset Tower Hotel[24].
Brendan spent time at the Betty Ford Center in 2017 and 2018. Of his sobriety, he says: "It’s also highly possible that Brendan has an edge over his competitors because he is sober - a decision he calls a “huge, little advantage. He adds the challenge wasn’t giving up alcohol, more that he could continue to excel in his career: “Real estate can involve a lot of socializing, which is part of the fabric of selling homes. I was asking myself, can I do it? Do I still ‘have it’ without a drink? I realized that it didn't affect my confidence because I go up and talk to anybody.”[12]
Philanthropy
In 2019, Brendan Brown co-founded the Young Professionals Committee [25] of the Gabrielle's Angels Foundation for Cancer Research[26]. In 2023, he co-hosted the New York's Angel Ball at Cipriani Wall Street [27] and raised $2.8 million dollars.[28] He is also was elevated to a SENTINAL fundraiser in 2024 for Prince Harry's Invictus Games[12], GLAAD, AIDS Walk New York, and the South African Wild Lion Conservation Fund.
