Bowers style acronyms are shortened polytope names created by Jonathan Bowers to make it easier to recognise polytopes without using their full (and sometimes very long) names. They are created by turning the words in the name into single letters then adding characters to make the official Bowers style acronym (OBSA) possible to read or pronounce. For example, the small rhombicuboctahedron becomes SRCO, then sirco.^[1]
